RPM Coaching was established in 2010 by Rob Mortlock.

"Originally a keen mountain biker, BMX racer and later a Track sprinter, I have been a professional cycling coach for 14 years.

Between 2009 and 2014  I was a regional coach for British Cycling, involved in coaching many young riders who have since become Great Britain Cycling Team names. Being invited overseas to accompany the Olympic Development programme team during the UCI Junior Nations Cup was a notable highlight and a valuable insight into world class road racing.

During this time I studied for a degree whilst coaching individual riders to success at regional and national level events. I also became a published cycling journalist, writing articles and answering Q&As in Cycling Weekly and Cycling Active magazines as a resident expert.

Moving on from British Cycling in 2014, I became Head Coach at the London Olympic Velodrome (or Lee Valley VeloPark as it was renamed) managing the coaching team across 4 disciplines. This opportunity provided some unique experiences, working with everyone from Olympic legends to TV celebrities.

After nearly 6 years there, I decided to focus full-time on my own coaching business.

I find helping others to achieve their goals particularly satisfying, and I enjoy continually learning about developments in sport and equipment. I believe any rider should be able to access high quality coaching at a sensible and realistic price.
